ACCIF - The beginning
Still in shock, she informed her husband who was surprised too. She discussed her intention to help immediately and he agreed with her idea, selected some of her baby's clothing since she was also a nursing mother herself, took other materials for the baby and mother then asked whether she would accompany her to her parents' house so that she and her two daughters can be taken care of, she accepted.

In the evening that same day, she moved the family to a safe shelter, where they were taken care of for some time. When she was ready and fit to leave, Mrs. Daudu pleaded with her to go back to her home-town. She then empowered her a little and put the family on a commuter bus going to her village in Kano State. Since that day, she has never seen the family nor knew what became of them all. This lack of contact, follow-up or feedback haunts her so much. This is one of the motivating factors that propelled her to initiate ACCIF. If only she was informed as she is now about charitable and civil society works, she would have been able to connect with the family. This was the beginning.
